Work with managers and associates to verify guest and associate satisfaction while striving to maximize the financial performance of the department. Respond to guest request for special arrangements or service by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers. Answer golfer questions about course. Promote and sell golf shop merchandise to customers. Schedule tee times for golfers. Assist in managing golf rounds inventory including on-line management system and works with management to maximize rate opportunities. Maintain cleanliness of golf-related areas (e.g., golf shop, hallways, locker rooms, common areas). Follow property inventory system to conduct and reconcile merchandise inventory. Notify manager/supervisor of any important issues as necessary. Teach individual and group golf lessons in keeping with Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA)/Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and company standards. Assist management team in the overall daily golf operation, including the golf shop and retail services.
Assist management in training, scheduling, evaluating, and motivating employees. Serve as a departmental role model. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Follow all company policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Verify uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Verify adherence to quality expectations and standards. Identify and recommend new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings. Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
