Nevill Golf Club - is a private member's golf club in the heart of Tunbridge Wells. The clubhouse stands at one of the highest points looking towards the Sussex countryside offering splendid views. The club prides itself on being family friendly and offering a welcoming environment for all.
The Club House Manager, reporting to the General Manager, ensures the efficient day-to-day running of the Club’s clubhouse services and maintenance of the clubhouse infrastructure. This role is critical in maintaining a welcoming, member-focused experience in the clubhouse. He/she must engage with all Service Team employees, the Catering Provider, officials, members and guests/visitors to ensure that high levels of service are maintained.
Hospitality - Provide input to the House Director and House Services Committee on the Club’s Hospitality Policy, setting service standards in the Clubhouse. · Train Bar Staff in the relevant service standards · Monitor and uphold service standards to ensure that service standards are being met · Make periodic recommendations to the House Services and Finance Committee for changes to bar pricing.
Staff management · Manage the clubhouse Bar Staff (permanent and/or temporary), including staffing levels, recruitment, performance, discipline and annual reviews. · Ensure the Club’s Health and Safety at work policies and procedures are followed in the Clubhouse.
Cellar and Bar · Manage the cellar including line cleaning, rotate stock by date, order the appropriate quantities and purchase in accordance with demand and profit.
Health and Safety · Create and maintain an active action plan to ensure compliance with H&S requirements. · Perform weekly and monthly health and safety inspections on the clubhouse and bar to check compliance and identify/remedy issues needing attention.
Suppliers · Oversight of the Drinks, Cleaning and Linen Suppliers to ensure both the Club and the Suppliers meet their obligations and that agreed service levels are maintained. · Liaison with the Catering Supplier to agree changes to bar food menu and services in order to maintain or improve member and guest satisfaction with catering. · Recommendation of changes to service levels and/or Suppliers where product/performance is unsatisfactory and/or a better value Supplier can be identified.
House maintenance · Provide input to/be familiar with the Clubhouse Maintenance Plan and ensure the Bar Staff, Caterer and Half Way House Manager are familiar with it. · Carry out regular inspections of the clubhouse fixtures, fittings and equipment, furnishings and fabrics and report any matters arising to the GM. · Schedule and oversee all scheduled works and urgent repairs, identifying Other Suppliers, obtaining cost estimates and seeking approval for the works via the GM as required.
Meetings and Events · Supports the GM, Captains, Social Secretary and other officials in organising meetings and events in the clubhouse where bar and catering services are required. · Liaises with the Caterer as required.
Finances · Manages the House budget for Bar Staff and bar products. · Make periodic recommendations to the House Services and Finance Committee for changes to bar pricing. · Supports the GM and House Director in creating the annual House budget.
Licensing Laws · Ensures that the bar is operated within the current licensing laws · Remains familiar with and ensures GM and House Services Committee are appraised of all current licensing laws/ requirements and any changes which affect the Club.

Salary: £21,000.00-£31,000.00 per year + There is potential for onsite accommodation
